There is nothing more frustrating or infuriating than not being able to gain access to your own home. Here at Castle Security, our raison d’etre is to help people to get into, and protect their properties. As we well as supplying and fitting new locks, keys, and user friendly alarm systems, we also repair existing locks that have become worn and are in need of refurbishing, and we provide an emergency call out service.
But as well as helping those hapless individuals who have become the victims of a moment’s carelessness, forgetfulness, or unforeseen circumstances, we are also committed to helping those who experience difficulties with using locks and keys either because of reduced mobility, or disability.
Keys can be fiddly things to manipulate at the best of times, but when the lock you are trying to open is stiff, and your grip as not as strong as you would like it to be, it can be an almost impossible task. That is why we at Castle Security are one the foremost suppliers of fob key locks Bristol residents can rely on when they experience problems opening doors.

What is a Fob Key?
For those of you who are not quite sure what a “fob key” is, there are two different options.
- Either it is a metal key that has an extended handle. The fact that the main body of the key is quite substantial makes it easier to control the key to insert it into the lock, and then the large handle also means it is easier to get a firmer grasp on it, thereby allowing more purchase and leverage to be exerted when turning the key in the lock.
- Or you can order a “proximity” reader key. This is where a card (similar to a hotel door swipe card) or a key fob (like one on a car) is waved in front of the “reader” which is installed in or near the door and this unlocks and opens the door automatically. There is no effort involved whatsoever, making this an ideal choice for those with limited mobility in their hands or for people who cannot reach locks easily.
